SUMMARY:Call for Abstracts – Session 3.100 International Mountain Conference 2025
DESCRIPTION:Dear members/ Paris trails and path conference participants\, \nWe are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for the Focus Session 3.100 at the International Mountain Conference (IMC) 2025\, which will take place from Sep 14 – Sep 18 2025 in Innsbruck (Austria). As our Trails and Path Conference in Paris showed there are many pressing issues which concern us in the realm of climate change. We are glad to announce that there is a tailor made session for you and our members on the impact of climate change on mountaineering and how it affects hiking trails\, mountain huts and rock climbing areas. It also deals with solutions for climate change adaptations in the above mentioned fields. The IMC 2025 provides us a unique frame to deal with topics in a scientific setting which exclusively concern us in hiking and mountaineering as well as our mountain infrastructure. This event is graciously hosted by the Alpine Association of Slovenia (PZS). \nAgenda & Participation\n\nMotions: Must be submitted in writing to the administrative office (info@european-mountaineers.eu) no later than 17 March 2025.\nElections: The term of Juan Jesus Ibanez Martin and Jan Bloudek as Presidium members will conclude with the GA 2025 after two consecutive terms. As per EUMA statutes\, re-election is not possible. Therefore\, we encourage all member associations to propose candidates for election by 12 April 2025. This ensures sufficient time to inform all members in line with our regulations.
